Some Good Clean Skincare Thoughts for Spring!

Spring season arrives next week and here are a few goodies that I found to be excellent, so I thought I’d share! Clockwise from top left, check them out.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Cream for Men – There’s something super simple but highly potent for the guys from the good doctor. Created just for men, this is a lightweight, fast-absorbing cream that works wonders. It touts Purslane and Skullcap as two of the many vital components. It’s anti-inflammatory, so it reduces redness and irritation! One application and you’re good! Hassle-free, and men approved!
Terra Beauty Bars – First of all, I love the way this natural soap looks! But beyond the looks, this Marble Activated Charcoal Facial Bar with Brazillian Yellow Clay is 100% handcrafted that is clean and safe for yourself and the entire family to use. This plant-based formulation disinfects toxins and moisturizes naturally, and not just for your body but for your face too! Love it!
Beautycounter No. 1 Brightening Face Oil – From the first day I tried this oil, I thought, “This is good stuff.” And I haven’t stopped using it! What’s new? Mama’s got a brand-new bag! If you haven’t noticed, they upgraded the bottle late last year, which is much better where the gold lettering they used to have no longer rubs off. But the excellent formula, which contains antioxidant vitamin C combined with Omega-rich Marula-oil brightens, replenishes and silken the skin in seconds. Yaaaas, it is still as good as gold!
Moon Juice Milk Cleanse - Gentle Foaming Wash – Two words came to mind when trying this new product from Moon Juice, gentle and effective. This creamy cleanser is more than I expected, where it was effective in removing all my makeup in one wash without any skin drying effect. And you can trust that Moon Juice would only use 100% safe, highly effective ingredients, sans all that bad stuff including fragrance and phthalates. Oh, and the tube is made out of sustainable sugarcane, therefore 100% recyclable. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from the good-health witch of Venice, California, Amanda Chantal Bacon, who was on the frontier of medicinal foods.
Moon Juice Cosmic Cream - Collagen Protecting Moisturizer – Also new and to follow the Milk Cleanse, this Cosmic Cream is dreamy. This super-hydrating formula absorbs quickly almost to a facial oil texture but not greasy at all! I found that a little of this soft cream goes a long way, and it is perfectly balanced. Again, made sans all the typical skincare nasties with the highest-grade essential oil scent to boot. It’s dreamy, all the way to the moon and back.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum 100ML – If you are a fan of Hyaluronic Acid (I mean, who isn’t?), then many of us are obsessed with this product. Now, my obsession comes in a 100ML! As Dr. Sturm coined it, her HA Serum 100ML serves as the “white t-shirt” of her namesake skincare line, and indeed it an essential item in our beauty cabinet. And why is it so good? Well, the purity of her active ingredients, Hyaluronic Acid combined with Purslane, works into the deeper layer of the skin to improve the skin matrix yielding in high levels of hydration, which reduces the formation of wrinkles. Can you say, “skin savior?” Yes, 100%!
Aesop SPF 50 - Avail Body Lotion with Sunscreen – This broad-spectrum SPF50 sunscreen is a protective moisturizing body lotion made with water-resistant properties. It provides 80-minutes of protection in the sun (reapply every 80 minutes for maximum coverage and also after sweating, swimming, or towel drying. Enriched with Vitamin E and spearmint leaf, it’s lightweight, hydrating, not greasy, and suitable for sensitive skin. Even the men in my family approve this and use it! Made in Australia, this product is vegan and sulfate-free.
Coola Mineral Sun Silk Creme SPF30 – Mineral-rich, oil-free, Non-nano Zinc Oxide based broad-spectrum UVA/UVB glides on like silk as the name suggests. Providing full spectrum coverage, this lightweight and sheer formulation work seamlessly under makeup. It seems to work on all skin types without irritation, and it’s free of sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehyde, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil and other ingredients that are in standard sunscreens. All-around protection in this sleek glass bottle!
Pursoma - Apres Savasana Soak – The epitome of Zen comes in a bag! With the worldly stress surrounding us, I find myself meditating in this soak to calm to the mind, to tension, and take a deep breath while detoxing, purifying, and cleansing. This small bag of power punch is a real antidote to stress, and a moment in time that I wish can last forever. Use it as a pre-soak or a post-soak for 30 minutes to any ritual or a workout. Composed with French grey sea salt, seaweed and spirulina, I swear by this earthy salt formulation! P.S. They recommend not to rinse as the algae can remain active for twelve hours.
